Erin Wehrmeister is getting married in June to Sam Garcia. There's a very special story behind the third pictures in this group (the one where she's on the phone). We had scheduled Erin's bridal portraits at the Meyerson a few months in advance. The day just happened to be the very same day and time that her fiance was returning stateside from serving in Iraq. That phone call is Sam calling Erin as soon as he got off the plane.
Mackenzie Crannell is a senior at Newman Smith - her portraits were photographed at the Dallas Arboretum and at the studio. Mackenzie likes the shoes.
Kelly Case knows how to accessorize! She's a senior at Rockwall High School - her portrait session was at the studio.
Riley Ebensberger is a senior at Prosper High School, a basketball player, and I had previously photographed his sisters' senior portraits. Riley's portrait session was at the studio.

Emily Alexander of South Garland High School is the first senior I've photographed for 'The Night Shoot', but I had photographed night shoot engagement portraits earlier in the week. I also photographed a studio session with Emily just before the evening.

I photographed Zach Spencer's senior portraits about four years ago, and now he's graduating from college. He had a portrait session with his mom, Lisa, as a surprise for his dad.
It's been quite a week and a half - I've had 17 portrait sessions, a rehearsal dinner, and a wedding in the past ten days. So, I've been off on posting - but I'll be posting at least 10-12 entries in the next three days.
The first is something I'm just starting to do, and I'm very excited about it. It's called 'The Night Shoot', and I'll be doing it for engagement sessions and for high school seniors. We basically spend the 30 minutes before sunset until 30 minutes after sunset, walking around an urban location, and create portraits with a lot of mood using the available lighting from shop windows and street lights.
These are Celina Trevino and Tommy Byrd's engagement portraits, photographed in Deep Ellum. I photographed Celina's sister's wedding last year, and I photographed Celina's senior portraits several years ago.

I've been a bit off on posting lately. The reasons I stated a few posts earlier - I'm still in my slower time of year (but that will change as the weather improves), and I'm busy catching up on the things I've been meaning to do. One of those things is Erin's website. I've promised for over a year to complete it for her - and I just did! One day after her birthday!
