2008 Senior Portraits

I'm writing another quick note to give an update about what's going on here. We're still getting quite a few new bookings for 2008 senior portraits, but we're within a week of 'hitting the wall' about what can be realistically provided.

We need three weeks to produce final prints. It's possible to place your order immediately after your portrait session, and until May 4th we'll also allow a 2 week turnaround on wallet prints with a rush charge. But after that, if your graduation is in May, we can't really promise to have wallet prints by your graduation.

We have a handful of session times left by May 4th, and we can be reached at 214-887-9996 for information about those. If you are graduating in June, if wallet prints for graduation announcements are not your priority, or if you are a 2009 high school senior - please do still call us at 214-887-9996 for other available times!

On the blog itself, I have 29 different posts that I need to do, and by next week it will be in the middle 30's. It'll have to be next week before I can update again, as all my energy is going into getting current orders prepared by their promised days. Thanks for your patience!

Here is an image from Briana Rodriguez's 'night shoot' session - it was created in the West End. We have booked all our free 'night shoot' sessions, but the option is still available at our normal location session prices. Thanks again!

A Quick Note

Hi! I just wanted to write a quick note. March 15th until May 15th is always my busiest period of the year. It's when high school seniors need portraits for graduation announcements and when my wedding season starts (in addition to weddings I'm photographing a lot of bridal portraits and engagement portraits right now). It's also the nicest time of year for outdoor portraits (with October being a close second). And the busiest part of the busiest part of the year is right now - the middle of April.

The end result is that I'm just too scattered to stay on top of my blog right now. I take pride, though, that every portrait session and wedding I photograph gets examples posted on this blog. So probably what will happen is that I'll suddenly post 20 portrait sessions in the period of a few days. I'm hoping I'll get to that next week. There's some really exciting work in there. If I can say so myself - I seem to be getting better and better!

Finally, I apologize, but I'm also going to be slow in answering email right now. I typically get over 20 emails a day, and it's tough to respond when my focus is on getting everyone's orders ready in a timely manner. Please call us at 214-887-9996 if you need a response right away.

I do have a few spots left for portrait sessions the rest of this month - please call us at 214-887-9996 to book yours. Thanks.

Michael and Stephanie Get Married

Michael Kenney and Stephanie Schuurman were married at the Dallas Arboretum on March 15th. It was a blast of a wedding and the weather couldn't have been better. I had previously photographed Michael and Stephanie's engagement portraits, Michael's sister's wedding, and all three of the older Kenney's senior portraits.

Lisa-Kay at the Meyerson

Lisa-Kay Stone's bridal portraits were also at the Meyerson on the same day as Erin Wehrmeister's. We had scheduled both portrait sessions well in advance of knowing the weather. It just turned out that that particular day was about the rainiest in recent memory - it poured and thundered most of the time during both sessions. It was only at the end of Lisa-Kay's session that it slowed to a drizzle. It couldn't have worked out better - the Meyerson is beautiful, because it needs to be reserved with Kerry Musick of Dallas City Hall it is private, and it doesn't matter what the weather is like.

I had also photographed Lisa-Kay and her fiance, Chris Pierotti, late last year for their engagement portraits.

I received an email from Lisa-Kay a few days ago. Here's a photo from the shoot that her mom took!
