John and Becky Edmiston are from Seattle and are friends of Erin's from the game, Puzzle Pirates. Players had a little mini-convention here in DFW a few weeks ago, and John and Becky flew up for that and to have their portraits created! They were photographed at the studio:
Jaye Wells is an up-and-coming author working in the genre of 'urban fantasy' - which is basically vampire/romance/humor/thriller wrapped in one. She's signed a three book deal! Here are two of her headshots photographed here at the studio:
Sarah Whitney is a librarian in Garland and wanted portraits for her mom for Mother's Day - she was photographed in Lakeside Park in Dallas:

Hi! I just wanted to write a quick note. March 15th until May 15th is always my busiest period of the year. It's when high school seniors need portraits for graduation announcements and when my wedding season starts (in addition to weddings I'm photographing a lot of bridal portraits and engagement portraits right now). It's also the nicest time of year for outdoor portraits (with October being a close second). And the busiest part of the busiest part of the year is right now - the middle of April.
The end result is that I'm just too scattered to stay on top of my blog right now. I take pride, though, that every portrait session and wedding I photograph gets examples posted on this blog. So probably what will happen is that I'll suddenly post 20 portrait sessions in the period of a few days. I'm hoping I'll get to that next week. There's some really exciting work in there. If I can say so myself - I seem to be getting better and better!
Finally, I apologize, but I'm also going to be slow in answering email right now. I typically get over 20 emails a day, and it's tough to respond when my focus is on getting everyone's orders ready in a timely manner. Please call us at 214-887-9996 if you need a response right away.

I photographed Zach Spencer's senior portraits about four years ago, and now he's graduating from college. He had a portrait session with his mom, Lisa, as a surprise for his dad.

Tosha and Ryan Tucker are expecting little Parris any day now - they were in the studio recently for portraits to remember the pregnancy.
Matt & Jessica are celebrating their anniversary and want portraits to commemorate it - I photographed them together in the Arts District in downtown Dallas:
I photographed Spindrift Beck and her brother, John Henry, just before the holidays. Spindrift is apparently an amazing swimmer, and she's in this week's issue of Sports Illustrated in 'Faces in the Crowd'. Earlier this year she set the national independent-school record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.66), breaking the mark of Olympian Caroline Bruce. She's qualified for three events in the Olympic trials. Here's a video of her.

Jim & LaRue Hunter are celebrating their 50th anniversary soon, and came in to the studio for portraits. They are the parents of Kelly Shockley - one of my great referrers (I've photographed both her children's senior portraits).
In the summer of 2000, I was looking for a space to open my first studio and having trouble finding a spot I liked. In the meantime, I worked part-time for Greenscape Pump Services, designing their website and organizing their photo library. They're an amazing business that designs and constructs water fountains all over Texas and beyond. I finally found a studio spot in Garland in the late fall of that year, but since then I've photographed their new projects each year. They're pretty much the only clients I serve that I do something other than photographing people. Here are some of the fountains this year - I finished the digital files this weekend. The sites are in Frisco, Southlake, Plano, Dallas, and as far away as Biloxi and Houston.
